Blatner Pit, located at milepost 259.7 on Highway 260,  is open Saturdays from 8AM-4PM.  The turnoff (about 4/10th mile past where the divided highway ends West of Preacher Canyon) is a little paved road to the South.  It is directly across from the 55 mph sign heading West.

The Buckhead Mesa landfill (across from Tonto Natural Bridge) is also operating a brush disposal program on Sundays and there is no charge.  You can call the Christopher Kohl's Fire Department if you have questions or want to verify disposal dates/times...928-478-4011.

Acceptable Items:

Non-processed forest products only!  Trees, leaves, limbs, bark, pine cones, twigs, pine needles, etc.

If anything is attached to the items (ropes/staples/nails), the items will be rejected.

**Even though the Regional Payson Area Project (RPAP) brush disposal sites are staffed by volunteers, there are still costs involved in maintaining and operating them.  You can help keep the pits open by making a donation to the RPAP program.

The Pit Crews are NOT allowed to accept on-the-spot donations.  Please forward your tax deductible donation to:
